Statement of Faith
1.
|
We believe
that the Creator is the greatest of all that can be conceived.
|
| 2. |
We believe that each soul
is competent to find its own pathway to the Creator and
is restless until it finds its home close to the heart
of
the Creator.
|
| 3. |
There are many paths into
the presence of the Creator. We encourage fellow seekers
to explore their pathway with us.
|
| 4. |
We believe a life lived
in imitation of Christ is as varied as the many pilgrims
that journey and the many paths we walk.
|
| 5. |
Jesus the Christ, revealed
in sacred scripture, history, tradition and experience,
is one of the pathways to the Creator. Many of us follow
the path of love and service Jesus walked before us.
|
| 6. |
We believe in the truth
of our faith and seek to understand it through inquiry,
thought, celebration, art, love, and life.
|
| 7. |
We believe that trials
are opportunities to determine if our behavior aligns with
the truth of our faith and to alter our behavior if change
is needed.
|
| 8. |
We believe that the spirit
of the Creator, the echo of the word and the wisdom of the
ancient of days, continues to inspire us now and direct our
paths.
|
| 9. |
We believe in faith seeking
constant reform and renewal in its journey through the world
and time.
|
| 10. |
We believe in the celebrations
of renewal and commitment, blessing and commemoration, thanksgiving
and forgiveness, nurturing and healing.
